That's ...Hee hee...me too re great taste and easy. That's why I just don't even bother with "the decorating" really anymore. We tend to bake our cakes in a 13x9x2 inch pan and then just put the icing on top and begin feeding. It may not be as pretty as some of my creations, but heck it tastes good and my stomach can't tell the difference. ;)

As for the recipe, it looks quite tasty. I've not made fondant on my own...if you try it out, let me know how it goes.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12941632.post-12211145651390038812007-01-24T15:28:00.000-08:002007-01-24T15:28:00.000-08:00MeLissa, have you tried any of the homemade fondan...MeLissa, have you tried any of the homemade fondants?? I found one here ... was wondering if it was worth the work!?! (what can I say ... I want great taste ... but I also want easy. It's the curse of The Lazy, I tell ya! :))Kathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16131868126882079983noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12941632.post-16640658445501957002007-01-24T13:03:00.000-08:002007-01-24T13:03:00.000-08:00Yep, sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but fonda...Yep, sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but fondant just tastes icky. It's pure sugar without much else...

The trick might be to make sure you get it as thin as you possibly can and maybe give the cake a nice filling or something. Your idea of just using it for accents might also be a good one.

Of course, if you do find some way to make the stuff taste good..let me know! :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
